Description
-
These papers document the personal, professional and social life of the Biddle family
over a 237 year period. Influential in many aspects of Philadelphia business and society,
the family was very large and mixed with several other Philadelphia families. The Rush,
Williams and Brock families all contribute correspondence, financial and legal documents to this collection. These families became a part of the larger Biddle family through marriage.
