- Letter addressing altercation between overseer George Ford and enslaved boys Aaron and Jim, who allegedly "beat & abuse[d] him". Chew requests Raymond travel to Whitehall to assist Ford in "correcting" the two young boys to prevent any "like behavior" from the these two or "the rest of the negros".
