Tilden Home for Aged Couples application and bond book, 1876-1935 The application and bond book of the Tilden Home is composed of standardized agreements completed by applicants seeking admission. The forms includes basic background information, including the names of the applicant's nearest relatives and an inventory of property. As a stipulation for admission, "No insane or idiotic person, nor any person suffering from such physical defects... as to seriously interfere with the comfort or health of the other residents" were allowed entry, and the application form features a clause requiring applicants to declare their sanity.
